November 1982 - Puerto Vallarta Mexico

Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe or Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, with it's famous crown stands proudly over the city. There are some great old photos of the church at this link.

  1. hee hee... We could say that the bell tower is the (ahem) crowning achievement of that church.

«Louis» posted this church he found in Woodside, California.

  2. wow, that is wild. i love the crown. need to see that one in person. amazing times! ( :
not sure what is happen blogger did not take the comment or not? it was weird at loading? ) :

  3. I've visited PV several times and have this photo, though I did not notice that it has the same world and cross as is the symbol of the Carthusian Monks 'my post today', I wonder if they are in anyway related?

  4. Amazing to see a crown on the top of the bell tower, looks so intricate

  5. Beautiful...and I love the shot with the narrow street!

  6. Wow! That's a tad over the top - and Louis should be ashamed of himself; I thought it was just us English that made bad puns!
