It was certainly a wet spring and summer this year, causing a lot of flooding.
Lake Ontario had risen and flooded this portion of Harbourfront that is normally sidewalk when the Rubber Duckie arrived.

Cool shot. That duck got some controversy when the idea was first floated, but I think it was well worth it considering the amount of attention and visitation it generated.
