February 2014 - Mazatlan Mexico
It is truly astounding when strolling around town and looking at the beautifully painted buildings and then you realize they are just facades. This one doesn't have a roof and many don't. These buildings were often constructed in the 1800s and the salt air is very hard on the cement.
If you buy on of these properties you must maintain the historical details on the outside.
This reminds me of Coventry Cathedral Ruins. You have captured these buildings beautifully. That blue sky really sets off the detail in the façades, which are now ruins in their own right :).
ReplyDeleteI do love the look of these facades....there is something inspirational about the remains of something historic. Thanks for sharing..and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat marvellous shots of very faded elegance. Thanks for joining the challenge.
