Day 2 - Homeward Bound LA to Toronto

March 2015 - LA to Las Vegas

We had a quick breakfast in the hotel as it was included for one person. The server at the Starbucks counter didn't bother charging us for my coffee and yogurt.
John walked next door to rescue our car from its imposed sentence at Joe's Parking for the last two months.

I guess airlines are really struggling when the pilots have to walk to their hotel.

Go east!

LA -lots of traffic as we leave on a Friday morning.

Heading to lunch at In N Out burgers - same place we had one on our way to LA in January.

He happens to be wearing an In N Out shirt.

As mentioned in the January post there are tons of murals in Barstow so we stopped to get some more photos.
Mural photos to come!

More traffic as we slowly make our way to Las Vegas for the night.

We stayed at the Doubletree Hilton on Pollack, no where near the Strip. Between March Madness and Easter week, spring break etc. hotels were booked and rates were crazy, $400 a night for Flamingo? Nope.

We had planned on going to Ellis Island for dinner $9 for prime rib!! But instead realized we were really close to Joe's Crab Shack which we both absolutely love.

  1. Less traffic getting out of LA than going in, by the looks. I like the starkness of the terrain going east.
