Past Meets Present

Past Meets Present #PastMeetsPresent

April 2018 - Toronto ON

Front St. at Bay looking west.

Union Station in 1922, when construction had been mostly completed but it remained unopened. Toronto Archives, F 1548, S0393, It. 1755-1
And Union Station is still under renovations in 2018!

I enlarged the photo to find out what that black sign on the right in the middle read: Bay Front Garage.

  1. Missing the useful trams that ran in front of Union Station.

    1. Yes, but they have put on a new bus 121 running from Fort York to Distillery District to alleviate the load on the King St. streetcar.

  2. ...nice that it is being saved.

  3. Neat photo of a majestic building ~ glad it is being restored ~

Wishing you a happy week ~

  4. Good lord, that work is taking quite a long time.
