I'm linking up at Monday Mural
Random murals languishing in my archives.
This is what this wall used to look like in 2019.
Riverside Broadview AveAlquimia’ (Spanish for ‘alchemy’) is a mural in a semi-abstract style. Paying homage to the Riverside neighbourhood, the mural is an interpretation of the quote “This river I step in is not the river I stand in” that speaks of the inevitable nature of all things: Alchemy and change. “Everything moves. Everything transforms into something else. It is a connection to the past while celebrating its future, progress and growth of the community,” said artist Jacquie Comrie.
...some haircut styles never change.ReplyDelete
I liked the Scarlet Door before it turned into a barber shop. The second mural is very colorful, but I'm not sure how the artist got alchemy from it. It goes to show that art is subjective.ReplyDelete
I like the colourful "Alchemy" mural. The barber shop one is nice, but can't figure out why there is a fish and a coffee mug in a Barber shop mural.ReplyDelete
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Jackie.
I couldn't figure out the fish either.Delete
