Tuesday Treasures

Tom hosts Tuesday's Treasures.

April 2014 - Charlotte NC

Repost from 2014.

Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the largest independent Coca-Cola bottler in the United States, producing, marketing, and distributing nonalcoholic beverages—primarily licensed products of the Coca-Cola Company -- in North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia, and portions of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Florida.

This 1920’s building used to be one of Coca Cola’s bottling locations in Charlotte.
The sign is a modern reproduction of the original, and spells “Charlotte Coca Cola Bottling Co.” along with
an image of the iconic Coca Cola bottle.

Coca Cola has an interesting web site.

  1. there was a Coca Cola bottling plant in Elizabethtown KY years ago...after it's demise it was used as a Coca Cola museum and I don't know what it is today. I do know that a two liter Coca Cola (or pick another size) today has no comparison to the five cent bottle of the famous beverage.

    1. I agree with all of you! Ice cold Coke in a glass bottle! The best I ever had was in Mexico!

  2. This is very interesting. My husband hauls a lot of Coca Cola loads. They actually have quite a variety of products.

  3. That is a wonderful old building. I agree with Marilyn...no comparison with the old nickle bottle of coke. Thanks for linking up!

  5. Great building and great memories of sitting in a pub garden with a glass bottle of coke and a straw when I was growing up.
