December 2015 - La Noria Mexico

Our first week here and we went to Le Noria with Bill and Carol. Click here for some highlights.
Click here to see the gorgeous church.

Founded in 1565 as a mining outpost and continued to thrive for three centuries.

Tradesmen continue to perform the old trades. These photos were taken at the leather maker.

Fresh tortillas, hot off the press.

A stop at the farrier, who makes horseshoes.

  4. It's always fascinating to watch craftsmen at work, Jackie. And you've still got that sunshine! Was the snow that was supposed to hit Mexico just a myth? Looks like it :) Have fun, and thanks for taking us along.

    1. They did get snow in northern Mexico, it can get quite cold up there around Chihuahua and Durango.
