Our World Tuesday
February 2015 - Singapore
We had a delightful visit to these amazing gardens, located near the Marina Bay Sands hotel.
It is superbly laid out with restaurants and a bar.
Gardens by the Bay brings to life NParks' vision of creating a City in a Garden. The Gardens captures the essence of Singapore as the premier tropical Garden City with the perfect environment in which to live and work - making Singapore a leading global city of the 21st century.
We arrived in the late afternoon, it doesn't get dark until after 7 PM in this part of the world.
You can see the walkways between the trees. It costs $5 to do the walkway.
A great view with the Marina Bays Sands Hotel in the background.
You can see the Singapore Flyer in the right corner.
After dinner we walked around looking at the lights.
We went up to the bar, it is $18 but that includes a drink. The view is spectacular, but you can't see the light show, but we were fine sitting outside on a balmy February evening.
After dinner we walked around looking at the lights.
A beautiful place to stroll about!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool place!
ReplyDeletethe gardens ARE amazing. It was the highlight of my visit to Singapore a couple of years ago. And I have told a few friends to put it on their must do list since then. Thank you for taking me back there. Happy travels. I am joining you at Our World Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the memories. One of my favourite places in Singapore after the orchid garden, of course. Did you go on the flyer? I went up to the top of the Marina Bay sands hotel for a look instead.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting tree structures. Creative way of seeing the views.
