February 2015 - Saigon or Ho Chi Minh Vietnam
This was absolutely amazing to see. We arrived before 10 AM and it was packed. It was also very hot!!
About 120,000 pots of flowers of varied species were installed for the 2015 Tet Flower Street on Ham Nghi Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Tet, which is the Vietnamese term for the Lunar New Year, kicked off on February 19 this year.
The flower street has grown into one of the city’s highlights during Tet – the Southeast Asian country’s largest traditional holiday – and receives millions of tourists, including foreigners, each year.
This year, it stretched 510 meters from Pho Duc Chinh Street near the landmark Ben Thanh Market to Ho Tung Mau Street.
What gorgeous colours!

We have Chinese New Year celebrations here too but nothing like this. The colours are amazing. And yes, I can sense the heat.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing display! I love the cascade of blooms pouring from the giant wooden bucket. Looks like there was beauty wherever you looked.
