My daughter used to ride in bike-a-thons, once doing an AIDS run from San Francisco to Los Angeles! But following her serious boating accident, she could no longer ride a 2-wheeler, so we got her a 3-wheeler. Unfortunately we now live in a very hilly area so neither she nor I can manage the 3-wheeler anymore. Shucks.
Oh, I used to have a bike like that, with three wheels. Far more sensible than those two wheel contraptions that require you to balance all the time. Great memory from a great photograph.
Redolent of memories - if not actually sepia. Fits

That's certainly a throwback!
ReplyDeleteOH! A tricycle -- I actually had one of those; a chain-driven tricycle...loved it!

ReplyDeleteThat 70s look is unmistakeable :-)
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Not many Sepians picked up on the cycle sub-theme.
ReplyDeleteI remember an old gentlleman near us, riding a tricycle like this when I was a child. I think it’s the only example I’ve ever seen, until now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun photo. Love the 3-wheel trike!
