I'm posting at Sepia Saturday today.
Sepians who wish to theme-along can "let their hair down" with this one going with unflattering portraits, beards, hair, lockets, medical conditions or red shirts.
I'm going with my maternal great-grandfather's hair and mustache. My grandmother, standing in front, was born in 1907 so this appears to be around 1912?
They appear to be a family about to sail, or already sailing, happy as can be!
ReplyDeleteHe's sporting a very neat moustache, & she appears to be hiding a Gibson Girl look under her hat.
ReplyDeleteKaren thought much the same as me.
ReplyDeletePhotographer's backdrop.
DeleteA Lovely Photo. Your Great Grandfather reminds me of Mr Banks in the Mary Poppins movie!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo from the past, truly a Sepian!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful photograph, and doesn’t your great-grandmother have beautifully large eyes?
ReplyDeleteNifty little S-curved conversation chair. It's interesting that your grandmother is wearing glasses. Her eyesight must have been really poor to have it detected at such a young age.
ReplyDeleteWOW, Wendy, what an interesting comment about the glasses. She did go blind probably in her late 40s, when my Mom was quite small.
