52 Photos Project
This week's theme is NEON COLOR.
Ever since we visited the Neon Boneyard in Las Vegas in January I will always associate the word neon with that visit.
Barbary Coast Casino was renamed Bill's Gambling Hall in 2007. February 2013 saw the closure of Bill's.
When Bill's reopens next year, what had become a Strip antique will be a boutique hotel with new hotel rooms, a refurbished casino, a second-story restaurant, and a rooftop pool and nightclub. It will have yet another name.

A rooftop pool sounds very, VERY heavy. I'm not sure I would want to eat or sleep under it when it's filled with water. Just sayin!. ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved the restaurant there and the location. Interesting to read what is happening now :). Thank you for that and showing us that wonderful old sign.
ReplyDeleteHow very interesting...I would never have dreamed that there is something like this...anywhere.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad story - but the picture is beautiful. And Barbary coast in Las Vegas - love it.
ReplyDeleteI've seen many wonderful photos from the Neon Boneyard. Taking pictures there must have been a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI've never been but I've heard of it and of course I knew the sign read Barbary Coast so Thanks for sharing. I was curious.
ReplyDeleteA Neon Boneyard -- sounds like a great photo op!
