Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I'm joining the Scavenger Hunt Sunday sponsored by Ashley.

The rules are simple:
  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun!

  1. Fun
  2. Arts and Crafts
  3. Messy
  4. Blessing
  5. Effort

FUN - a vendor at the Redpath Tall Ships Festival in Toronto Harbour June 20-23

ARTS and CRAFTS - some ART painted on these CRAFTS at the Tall Ships Festival.

MESSY - poutine, a Canadian dish made of French fries, gravy and cheese curds, so delicious and messy. This was lunch for DH at the Tall Ships.

BLESSING - this was a tough one, as I figured everyone would do something "churchy"' But desperation drove to take a photo of this white cross that looms over the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way) a highway that goes west out of Toronto. Photo was snapped as we zoomed past. This cross is in Mississauga and I like to think it's there to watch over all those crazy motorists that drive recklessly along there. I've never stopped to see if there is a plaque or if it is attached to a building.

EFFORT - I imagine it takes quite an EFFORT to climb these masts

  2. We had a tall ship festival here last year and it was great. We were able to see the HMS Bounty before it was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy.

It was neat to be able to go on the ships and see the beautiful woodwork.

  3. Love your take, I'm intrigued about the food now. I'll trouble getting that in Oklahoma I think. I'd love to try it.
