MURAL UPDATE

August 2020 - We had thought that when the block where these murals were was demolished it was to become a condo. But this week we found a park.

According to an article I found it was to be a condo and museum...
The block had had several buildings and a parking lot.

52 McCaul mural was painted in 2009 by the Brazilian artist Nunca. Our photo taken 2015. The artist has employed flowing lines to divide the large space into small sections, thus creating the illusion that the mural has been produced with tiles.
In 2014 a brilliant mural was painted on the side of the Brinks building under the auspices of the artists’ collective ULTRA RARE.
Our photo 2015.
Taken 2017

At 60 McCaul St., the Brinks Express Company of Canada building had these murals.

All now gone...

  3. Love looking at your murals. The community near me, Pembroke, had some great murals that also disappeared when the buildings were flattened. There are still some historical advertising murals in back alleys though!
