impossible Cheeseburger Pie

Impossible Cheeseburger Pie made with Bisquick was always a hit when the kids were small. Then when my niece and nephew came along it became a hit with them as well.
As you can see from their website you can add anything you wish to one of these pies.

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef

1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)

1/2 cup Original Bisquick® mix

1 cup milk

2 eggs

1.Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.

2.In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in salt. Spread in pie plate. Sprinkle with cheese.

3.In small bowl, stir remaining ingredients with fork or wire whisk until blended. Pour into pie plate.

4.Bake about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Makes 6 servings

  1. Jake, I have a little Bisquick cookbook that I got at the grocery check-out years ago and I found it the other day and was thumbing through it. I had forgotten about these pies, I've made quite a few over the years, including this one. I'm pretty sure my Mom used to make them when I was growing up. I'm going to make one soon and post it - a blast from the past!

  2. My husband would love this, but I have to see if I can find Bisquick.
