Monday Mural

I'm linking up at Monday Mural

July 2021 - Toronto ON

The old T.O. Tix booth at Yonge-Dundas Square used to be a place where locals and tourists alike would purchase discounted tickets to various productions occurring across the city. Fast forward to 2021, where it makes space for creative expression and adds cultural vitality to the downtown community.

Inspired by the structure of plants and the idea of co-existence, Temporary Hedged is a digital illustration by Tommy Truong that seeks to examine themes of community and precarious moments of joy in our current time of confusion, and uncertainty.

  1. Very nice and I assume that is himself the artist in one of the murals.

  2. I've never heard of a digital mural before, but this was lovely. I enjoyed reading about the idea behind the mural and Tommy Truong, too. Fascinating mural from all sides, Jackie.

  3. It is quite a beautiful mural, looks like a living vertical garden.

  4. This is interesting. I like how it's a virtual jungle in a concrete jungle. :)
