September 2020 - Toronto ON
Rain's Garden's challenge is Eyes and Ears. This is my first time participating as I need some new creative challenges.
I had so many ideas but decided to stick with our cats, Porter and Parnell, now gone for a few years.
I haven't scrapbooked in a few years!
I recently had this photo made into a mask for John.
I've never tried scrapbooking so I can't say much on them but they seem perfect to me. Your cats' eyes are haunting.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Jackie,
ReplyDeleteI don't scrapebook but I enjoy seeing what others do with this hobby. I love the picture of the kitty inside the paper bag peeping through the handle. It kind of looks like the kitty is wearing a mask. Wait a minute, did you card those kitties before serving them beer? lol Thanks for stopping by my place. Incidentally, you may want to include your blog URL on your Gravatar profile for others to find you easily when you leave comments. I wasn't sure I'd find you but you joined Rain's linky party and that's how I come to find you in the end. :) Have a good weekend!
Thanks, Cathy, I fixed my Gravatar, I think!
DeleteTotal cuties.
ReplyDeleteLovely eyes and ears! Welcome to Rain's!
ReplyDeleteReminded me of our canine cat, Walter, who went walking between our dogs every night. Just as black, but outweighed our small emergency back-up dog. Walter owned those dogs. And the entire neighbourhood. His best friend was a German Shepherd two doors down. I'm not a cat person, but I adored him.

You can't go wrong with kitty eyes.
ReplyDeleteFun to see your kitties and those great kitty pages!
ReplyDeleteKitty eyes and ears are the best!
ReplyDeleteJackie - thanks so much for your recent visit to my blog and your insight into your fair city and the places we visited! Such lovely kitties you had! However did you tell them apart? And what a marvelous idea to turn that photo into a mask! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteAngie, I didn't do anything to that photo, Parnell had climbed into that paper bag for a perfect shot.
DeleteSo easy to tell them apart! Porter was solid and sleek. Parnell was scrawny and had soft long hair.
Sorry, Angie, I just realized you meant the last photo of the mask. There are a few local companies that are making masks from photos. See my reply below to Andrea.
DeleteI've never scrapbook before
ReplyDeleteYou really WERE a scrapbooker. These were absolutely amazing, and both your cats were simply adorable. I know Bleubeard is happy to see another cat joining the party this week. SO glad to see you here, too, Jackie.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful kitties and perfect for the TAD theme this week!
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful babies and so sorry they have left you. I just lost one of mine and I can't stop missing him. So you are right, the cats have it when it comes to eyes and ears (and as your pictures show, a lot of personality). Great post and I have to ask how you made the mask from a picture of your kitties? I would love to do that. Hope you stopped by my blog as I have kitty pictures too :) Be well and stay safe, Jackie ...

There are several companies that I found are making masks from your photos. One is https://fujifilmprintlife.ca/ and https://www.bestcanvas.ca/
DeleteGreat idea with the wonderful cats eyes and ears. Nice photos of them with the layouts!

Hi Jackie! :)) Thanks so much for joining in, and I'm sorry for commenting so late. I'm on a bit of a blogging break for September to try and catch up on getting the house ready for winter, it's insanity. Porter and Parnell are adorable. What a nice way to keep their memory alive with scrap booking and that mask!! I love the name Porter for a pet!! And Parnell looks so Halloweenie in that photo! Love it! :)
