May 2019 - Florence Italy

Last week I did a post about Clet, a street artist in Florence that included a portrait of him done by Blub.

The installation is called ‘L’arte Sa Nuotare,’ or ‘Art Knows How to Swim.’ Blub keeps his/her identity secret.

This was the first piece I spotted on the bottom of the entrance to the Ponte Vecchio.

We then found a few more of his but there are many more scattered around the city. Click here to see lots more of his work.

Portrait of Lunia Czechovska by Amedeo Modigliani

One half of Piero della Francesca’s masterpiece Dukes of Urbino

Les Amants - René Magritte

Dante

When we were in Pisa we found a piece by him as well.

Antonio Vivaldi

in response to Jackie:
We were in Florence in May and I wrote a couple of posts on the street art I found. https://junkboattravels.blogspot.com/2019/06/tuesday-treasures.html
Wow. Thanks for your link. I saw a number of the ones with the goggles but didn’t notice the road signs. I didn’t notice the Blurb ones were signed. I tried to “like” your post but can’t find a way to do it. 🙂
