Thursday Doors

Linking up at Norm's Thursday Doors.

June 2018 - Toronto ON

Union Station facelift (she was rather old and wrinkled) has been a long, arduous journey but the majestic lady is coming along.

Some storefronts on the lower level, I would have liked more lighting down here.

  1. I imagine a lot of the businesses down there that I recall have changed hands or changed enough that I wouldn't recognize them.

    1. It is certainly more upscale than the Dairy Queen and McDonald's that was there before.

  2. Nice ones. Is it just me or does it seem like this renovation is taking an eternity? Any idea why?

    1. No, not just you, it is totally "off the rails" (killing myself laughing).
It was initially supposed to be done in 2015 and cost $640 million. Now the estimate is late 2018 or early 2019 at a cost of $823.5M. Most of us would have been fired early on as project managers if we reported these forecasts.
