January 2012 - Granada Nicaragua
A re-post as we were travelling all week.
The day that we had planned to go to Mombacho and instead found Catarina we drove past this cemetery and I suggested maybe we could visit it, not something John is very fond of.
Snapped as we drove by.
There is a monument for the ex-presidents of the country, all buried together, I wonder how they all get along?
On our way back into town we had to pull over as a funeral procession was taking place. Well, actually we pulled over but nobody else did so this was the best shot I could get of the coach carrying the coffin to the church as the people walked behind it.
I am one of the cemetary goers too!! Yay, another kindred spirit. There is such beautiful art in cemetaries. You've shot some gorgeous angels. I appreciate you sharing them with us.
ReplyDeleteCompletely different than the mood of cemeteries we see here.
