Floral Friday

Linking up with Floral Friday Fotos

June 2022 - Wilsonville ON

We accidently discovered Whistling Gardens on a two day road trip this week.

Explore 20 acres of colour, unique design and countless rare plants at our National Award winning botanical gardens. Man-made streams, ponds, cascades, as well as cottage garden strolls, magnificent formal gardens and European influenced architecture all await you. Our plant collections are among the finest in the country. The Conifer collection features 2,500 different specimens and is the largest public collection in the world. Our donated peony collection features some 900 different varieties and is considered to be the largest collection in North America! In total there are some 4,500 different plants in Ontario’s only privately operated Botanical Garden. The garden sanctuary has been seamlessly connected with wheelchair accessible walking paths. Shop for rare and unusual plants or participate in our pre-scheduled group garden tours, horticulture, wellness or creative workshops. Cameras, and picnic lunch’s welcome!

Click here and here to see the peonies.

I was excited that the cactus were in flower.
