T for Tuesday

T Stands For is hosted by Elizabeth and Bleubeard

March 2022 - Toronto ON

Last week we went out for breakfast for John's birthday. Click here for the food and views.

BTW my new header was taken at the restaurant.

Stupid $ for water!

I haven't seen sugar cubes in years!
At least the coffee was "free"!

Stupider $ for mimosas!

  1. Nor do we see sugar cubes anymore, but in a German YT vid I watched this morning, the lady of the the house offered a tradesman working in her house some coffee and asked him if he wanted one lump or two. Well the subtitle said that.

  3. I had mimosas at the shower. Too bad these were so pricey. I guess you paid for the view; it's amazing. And going out to breakfast is the best. Thanks for sharing Jackie. Hugs-Erika

  4. I hate that you had to pay more for water and mimosas just for the view! Love the header photo though!

  5. We saw sugar cubes at the grocery and while back and bought some for the fun of it. Mimosas are much cheaper at home ;) Happy T Tuesday

  12. I have never seen sugar cubes in a restaurant. I bet most kids around have no idea what they are.
    Beautiful header.

  13. I was given some sugar cubes a few years ago, but haven't seen any since. Mine were wrapped in paper.

Don't you just HATE paying for bottled water? And the mimosas were lovely, but they sound expensive. I bet there's a catch to the free coffee, too. Thanks for sharing these pricey items with us for T this Tuesday. At least you got a lovely photo of downtown for your header in the rather expensive deal.

  14. The mimosas look a treat ... and it was for a birthday. I know they say we have to support local food places, but the prices are outrageous. We got coupons in the mail for McDonalds & I couldn't believe the coupon rates. No it will be fine dining at home for a while yet.

  15. Amazing the coffee was free! Fun to see sugar cubes!

They probably had to charge for the water to fund that view - wow!!!!

    Great drink photos, Jackie.

    Happy late T-day. Hugz

  16. LOL When we moved 4 years ago, I threw out sugar cubes because I didn't know how old they were! Beautiful view from the restaurant on your header! Late, but stopping by to wish you a great week.

  18. I think supermarkets here still sell sugar cubes but I'm not sure how popular they are. I haven't had a mimosa so I think I'd try that.

  19. You can still buy sugar cubes here but only in specialty shops. So sorry, RL got in the way, and I am terribly late. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
