Tlaquepaque Art

January 2016 - Tlaquepaque Mexico

Many of these metal sculptures grace one of Tlaquepaque's pedestrian-only streets near El Centro.John and I found many whimsical pieces of art while strolling this lovely street.

There is even a city sign sculpture.

This gentleman looks very much like one we met in Puerto Vallarta.

This is called El Grita Continua and depicts Hidalgo who is carrying a flag with the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe leading the people in the quest for Mexican Independence.

Just around the corner is this intriguing piece.

  4. Gosh the musical mermaid is wonderful. I wish I had a garden big enough to have her live in it.

  5. You always find the most interesting statues. You will need to write walking tour of Mexican cities or something within those lines.
