It is located at the lake end of Calzada St. This is one of the main streets in Granada, La Calzada (the paved road) leads from the Central Park in the center of Granada all the way down to the lake (Cocibolca).
The street is well lit at night and it only costs a dollar to catch a cab back to the B&B if you don't feel like walking.
Calzada is lined with restaurants, hotels, hostels and internet cafes and some blocks are closed to traffic.
The B&B is run by a young American couple, Shylow and Becky. They are charming and very hospitable. Anything you need they can help you with.
They suggested some interesting restaurants that we may not have found on our own. Casa San Francisco which is their favourite romantic spot.
They also suggested Las Colinas (The Hills) where we ate with our extended family on their last night in Nicaragua.
The house is located in a very safe area, but then Granada felt very safe as we wandered around town.
We had a car with us which was parked outside the house.
They have three very comfortable rooms available with free wi-fi, 24-hour security and a shared bathroom.
We had the loft bedroom which has a small porch.
Breakfast is included in the $25 nightly rates. Shylow was doing the cooking while we were there and he is a great chef!
The house is surrounded by fruit trees and other flowering plants.
You are free to use the great screened porch which has two hammocks, some rockers and my favourite, a hammock type chair where you can curl up with your book or laptop.
They have three dogs and have just rescued a beautiful orange kitten. It is such fun to have pets around when you are away from home.
It was fun being awakened by the roosters and having the loft room made it feel like you were waking up in aviary.
