I'm continuing with Singapore photos as I posted for Lunar New Year on Sunday.

Singapore is a very safe and clean country to visit. Singapore is very rule oriented! It does have some strange laws you should be aware of.

The Birthday of the Goddess of Mercy or Kuan Yin happens three times a year. The first birthday falls on the 19th day of the 2nd Chinese lunar month. The second birthday falls on the 19th day of the 6th Chinese lunar month and the third birthday falls on the 19th day of the 9th Chinese lunar months.


A hongbao (or ang pow in Hokkien) is a gift of money packed into a red packet. Red is considered a symbol of luck, life and happiness. Hongbaos are given as tokens of good wishes during auspicious occasions such as Chinese New Year and weddings.
