Part of my outing a couple of weeks ago was to get a photo of the latest mural at Cameron House.

I had posted the other murals before.

It is also done by John Abrams. The woman's eyes belong to the previous mural.

Around the corner they were painting over another mural.

I had happened to see the new banners hanging on Queen St. on the same day. While doing an other post I discovered that the artist Ham Ont Doodles had done one of this corner. I didn't actually see the banner but did find a copy on their Facebook page.

This mural, also done by Abrams, covered Cameron House in 1998. It depicts Barbra Streisand and Canadian prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, father of our current prime minister.

Yesterday I noticed these new banners on Queen St. West, depicting Toronto landmarks.

I snapped a few photos and carried on. I then decided I had never taken a proper picture of this building whose façade had been used as the setting for Street Legal a Toronto show filmed in the late 80s and early 90s.

When I got home I realized that it was featured on one of the banners. The artist is Ham Ont Doodles and was commissioned to do these by the BIA Queen St. West.

It was built in 1881, Queen Anne Revival, and was William Mara’s Grocery and Liquor Store.

I was at the AGO, Art Gallery of Ontario, last week. These banners were hanging outside. 

People are spending their time indoors transforming themselves (and willing participants) into famous paintings, from Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam to Edvard Munch's iconic The Scream. Toilet paper neck ruffles, tangled laptop chargers and even four-legged friends are all being used as makeshift props.

All the originals hang in the AGO.
