ITALICS TOUR DESCRIPTION

All breakfasts at the hotel. Enjoy three incredible days in Phuket, where you will certainly be mesmerized by its crystal-clear water, white sand beaches, mountain views, delicious cuisine, and the warm, friendly smiles of the Thai people. (Breakfasts) 

You can also opt for an optional full-day Phi Phi Island excursion ($) by speedboat. The islands are widely considered to be amongst the most beautiful in the world and rocked to fame with the filming of the movie "The Beach" on Maya Bay. You will travel to Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley and see natural wonders such as Pileh Lagoon, a spectacular emerald green lagoon surrounded by high limestone cliffs, and Viking Cave. Stops will be made for snorkeling and swimming in the crystal-clear water of some of the nicest bays and beaches. 

Following our buffet breakfast, we decided to spend  a couple hours by the pool. It was a hot and humid day.

It was  getting a bit warm so a couple of  beers were definitely in the plan. Two beers 280 baht, $12 Canadian dollars, definitely hotel prices.

Feeling a bit hungry, we decided to venture into Patong beach for for something to eat. We decided that we are were not starving and settled for a French fry at a Punjabi Indian restaurant with a couple beers.

We explored a bit of Patong beach then headed back to our hotel for a nap. 

We were showered and dressed for a pickup at our hotel for 6pm. We were several guests going to the show and we made stops at several other hotels. The trip took about 1.5 hours from our pick up to the theatre. A few pictures of the van.

When we at the show, the van was lit up in style.

We then went to the ticket counter to confirm our reservations and obtain our seating for the buffet dinner. 

Once we had our seating, the ushers guided us in and advised where to go following the show for our ride back to the hotel.

There were magnifient murals walking through the entrance hall.

The Siam Niramit show which is a world class Thai cultural show known for massive sets, over 100 performers and elaborate costumes and special effects. It presents 700 years of Thai history, mythology and traditions in a single performance. No pictures were allowed during the performance however we were able to take some photos when we arrived.

Once we entered, there were performers to entertain us since dinner was next and the performance was not starting until 8:30. We had a couple hours to have dinner and get to the theatre for the show.

We then headed upstairs for the Thai buffet dinner which consisted  mostly of  rice, chicken, pasta and vegetarian cuisine. Strangely enough they even had French fries which I gather they figured everybody ate. There was plenty of fruit and pastries for dessert. 

Following the meal, we still had time before the performance, so we checked out the recreated 100 year old Thai village.

Now it was time to head to the theatre for the performance. No photos were allowed  during the performance however all the performers were available to greet us when we were leaving.

As we exited the theatre, there were ushers from the theatre who looked up our names and took us to our van for the trip back to our hotel. Once we were on the road, we were back at our hotel within 20 minutes as we were dropped off first!
