We left early on Saturday morning, cold and wet. After a short wait at the border we crossed into New York state. It continued to rain. I took some photos from the car as we went.
Time to stop for the night in Frederick, Maryland just outside Washington D.C.
The hotel had this restaurant next door and it was a really great dinner.
It was an old-fashioned steak and seafood place, with incredibly good servers. We shared an order of crab cakes, all crab and very little filler.
For my main course I had lobster tail with baked potato and DH had prime rib, end cut which could have fed a small country!! A bottle of Dante wine from Sonoma washed it all down and we rolled our way back to the hotel.
