And a song - Walking in Memphis features the line "ten feet off of Beale". 

Walking “ten feet off of Beale” was meant as having an out-of-body experience walking down the main street of Memphis for the very first time.

    Love the ghost sign, and all those ultra-fab murals about the music scene in Memphis! That's a favourite song of mine too, and thanks for explaining what "walking ten feet off of Beale" means!
