Monday Walk

December 2015 - Mazatlan Mexico

We are very lucky to be spending the winter in Mexico. We are currently in Mazatlan where we spent ten weeks in 2014 and a couple of weeks in 2013. We normally stay at Torres Mazatlan but this year we are at El Cid Marina and Yacht Club for three weeks.
We're in #6 section.

I'm going to take you on a short walk around the resort today. There will be plenty of walks around town.

Main reception with restaurants and bar. This is the timeshare section. There are more buildings and a golf course which we haven't visited as yet. There is a shuttle to take you around the resort.

We  have a huge balcony.

Once at the bottom there is a large pool with snack bars and towels.

Activity schedule for this pool.

Turning around and looking back up the stairs.

Walking around.

One of two large pool areas. This part is nine feet deep and cold!!

The snack bar at this end.

Down at the end.

The water taxi takes you over to the private beach.

There  is a small convenience store, cafe, doctor and beach apparel shop.

Lots of western Canadians down here.

Darn! Only got his tail end. A large guy, I'll get a better picture I hope.

Thirsty work!

On Saturday evening from 3-7 there was a sisters' birthday party set up in front of us.
Kids had a DJ to keep them occupied and were fed hamburgers and fries while the adults had a sit down meal served.

Birthday girls in their white long dresses.

Handing out favours to the guests.

Singing along to Adele's  "Someone Like You and It's All About the Bass.

Sunday morning pickup soccer game.

  5. It looks like a very pleasant area. The lizards make for good company.
