May 2009 - Shanghai China
It was a very smoggy morning as we strolled along the Bund. Here we are in the Pudong East district across from the historic city centre of Shanghai.
This boat travels up and down the Huangpu River as a floating LED screen/billboard displaying advertisements for movies and other products. Very clever!
The boat billboard is probably a lot cheaper and easier than a fixed billboard, with no doubt numerous permits required and dare I say, 'incentives' to be given.
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart idea! This is the first time I know that boats can be used to advertise!
ReplyDeleteVery misty indeed!
ReplyDeleteIndeed very clever! May be smoggy, but still beautiful skyline!
ReplyDeleteAir pollution much? Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI think this one just crossed the line.
ReplyDeleteMy SIGNS, SIGNS
That is some serious smog. Glad you found something interesting to photograph!
ReplyDeleteI think this kind of advertising is better out on the water than on buildings on land. It does stand out in the smog, though!
