Dreaming of France

The rules for this meme are: Please join this weekly meme. Grab a copy of the photo above and link back to An Accidental Blog. Share with the rest of us your passion for France. Did you read a good book set in France? See a movie? Take a photo in France? Have an adventure? Eat a fabulous meal or even just a pastry? Or if you're in France now, go ahead and lord it over the rest of us. We can take it.
Maybe we can all satisfy our yearnings for France, until we get there again.

I've been trying to get some friends to plan another trip to Paris this summer, but am going to have to work harder at it!!

Today I thought I'd feature the Eiffel Tower elevator that is used to transport visitors to the upper levels. In looking through my photos I realize I have hundreds of photos of the Tower from many different angels, up, down, from the side, in the distance....

Does this mannequin represent the good old days when an operator was required to pump the hydraulics?

  2. I did not know about the Eiffel Tower book. The mannequin is funny that he is on the outside.

  3. What a fun picture. We have some nice close ups of the tower too. So many intricate parts that equal the gorgeous whole of the tower. Thanks for playing along. Here’s my Dreaming of France meme
