Weekend Cooking
Beth hosts Weekend Cooking where you can post anything food related.
Last Saturday morning we walked over to the Humber Bay Farmers' Market after breakfast.
This market was established in 2013 to serve the growing number of condos along Lake Shore West and there are more and more going up all the time.
It is quite a small market compared to others around the city but perfect for us to walk to on a Saturday morning.
We picked up local strawberries, sockeye salmon, beets and a curry sauce.

It looks busy enough. Those baked goods look tempting!
ReplyDeleteStrawberries are good this year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great market! It reminds me of the one we go to -- it's pretty small and not very crowded but variety of vendors and farmers and food producers is impressive.
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos you took! I love a good Farmer's Market.
ReplyDeleteThat market doesn't look small at all! The zucchini blossoms look amazing! I've had them in restaurants, but never tried cooking them at home.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to have a market that you can walk to! We're done with strawberries, here, but they were good while the lasted! This week it was blackberries and the first of the melons.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really nice farmers market. We don't have one as good as this one, so jealous. Love the fresh veggies and bread shots.
ReplyDeleteYour market looks wonderful. so fresh and colourful. if you are in TO this weekend, there is a great fireworks show at the lakeshore to celebrate Tim Horton's 50th Anniversary. My husband was down there yesterday working to set up the fireworks.
ReplyDeleteLove that the market wasn't too crowded! Cheers from Carole's Chatter
ReplyDeleteI love visiting farmer's markets. I see yours has at least one food truck, too!
ReplyDeleteI could see plenty there that I would have liked to take home for my weekend cooking :-)
