August 2013 - Grand Rapids Michigan
We took a quick driving trip to GR last week.
Created by Grand Rapids’ resident Ford-promoting graffiti artist but this time the art was sanctioned and is protected as an ArtPrize entry. “Vandalism” is positioned on the side of The B.O.B. that faces Fulton Street, and depicts a beaming and waving Gerald and Betty Ford, seemingly greeting the cars and pedestrians making their way up and down Fulton.
You can read more about this mural here.
That is hysterical, I love the placement.
ReplyDeleteThere's something about this that is amusing to me at least.
ReplyDeletethis is great! they look almost as if they could have just finished a dance number at the nightclub.
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot. Looks like the artist may start with a simple stencil and then embellish it. The low placement makes it even funnier. The Motu Viget image is also clever. I bet the artist could make prints of these images and they'd sell like hotcakes in GR. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
