Scavenger Hunt Sunday Feb 15

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

The rules are simple:

  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
  6. Have fun

  1. Camouflaged
  2. Nutty
  3. Old Style
  4. Haphazard
  5. Monochromatic

CAMOUFLAGED - these soldiers were in front of us last week as we drive back to Mazatlan from Copala. They were decked out in full camouflage, army boots, helmets, and guns! Some even had face masks. There is an army base nearby and it seemed like there was a squadron being relocated.
And no don't go thinking that Mazatlan is unsafe, we have been here 7 (seven) weeks and have not seen anything remotely troubling. Our friend who was here with us in January left her purse in a restaurant with EVERYTHING important in it and got it back safely.

NUTTY - typical nut stand around the market

OLD STYLE a typewriter in the office at Casa Canobbio that we visited last week.

HAPHAZARD - market

MONOCHROMATIC - John snapped this before he took the NUTTY photo above.

  2. Enjoyed stopping by for the first time. Love seeing the market photos, so different from our Farmer's Markets here.

  3. Good job with the hunt. Yes soldiers in camouflaged worked perfectly for that prompt. It's good to know thought that Matzatlan is still a safe place to visit.
I like the Old Style typrewriter.
    Great Monochromatic shot.

  5. Great photos. I love the mountain of pecans. The outdoor market where you are looks like a great place to shop for fresh foods. The old style typewriter is nice.
