Weekend Cooking

Weekend Cooking is open to anyone who has any kind of food-related post to share: Book (novel, nonfiction) reviews, cookbook reviews, movie reviews, recipes, random thoughts, gadgets, quotations, photographs. If your post is even vaguely foodie, feel free to grab the button and link up anytime over the weekend. You do not have to post on the weekend. Please link to your specific post, not your blog's home page.

This was our menu when flying from Casablanca, Morocco on Royal Air Moroc in 1980. Judging by the spelling this could have made it on a Wednesday Words post as well.
Last time I had a menu to choose from on a plane was in business class going to China.
Nowadays you can choose a fast food selection such as a Subway sub and a bag of chips that you have to pay a fortune for, times have changed.

  3. Wait! You've been on flights where they let you buy a sandwich? I usually end up with a bag of pretzels and that's about it.

  5. We flew to Rome last year, and Al Italia served a lovely meal. But domestically, if we are going to be more than three hours in the air, we buy a sandwich at the airport and share it, otherwise it's just pretzels.

  6. Yes, times have changed! I'm too cheap to buy anything on the plane, so I only get what they deign to hand out!
