July 2015 - Toronto ON
Last week I took a walk to the AGO Art Gallery of Ontario and around the neighbourhood.
I went back this week to get a membership (I could have done it online but wanted to drop in to get some photos as my battery had died last week). Of course with membership will come lots more photos!!
After I left I walked down Beverly and found this stunning sight.
Opened in 2008 it is the AGO's four-storey south wing, clad in glass and blue titanium, overlooking both the Grange and Grange Park.
Designed by architect Frank Gehry. Although Gehry was born in Toronto, and as a child had lived in the same neighbourhood as the AGO, the expansion of the gallery represented his first work in Canada.
Look Up, Look Down challenge hosted by Travel With Intent.
I really have to pay a visit there the next time I'm in the city!
