We adore Athens for its vitality and diversity. Now that we've taken the plunge and will be living nearly half our year in Greece, it will likely take on new meaning as the major gateway for our flights there and also as the commercial center for items not found elsewhere in the country. Ex pats in our area talks about IKEA in Athens as if it were a monument to visit. :-)
I love the second last photo, especially as it clear the only way to go is down.
ReplyDeleteI'll assume the guy in the first shot is a variation on the living statue act.
ReplyDeleteLove your door/balcony shots! Definitely a fun, funky area!
ReplyDeleteA city I would love to visit...but the graffiti is so sad!

ReplyDeleteLove the windows & doors! Hate the graffiti. That next to the last shot is wonderful! Great photos, Jackie!
