2012 In Review

We started out 2012 in Nicaragua with family. My BIL rented a house that slept 10.

One of our thrills were the howler monkeys who would hang out in the trees around the house.

We did our shopping in Rivas and Tola.

We then spent a week in lovely Granada visiting markets, the cemetery,

February found us in Cancun, Mexico, the first time back since 1979!! Needless to say things had changed. I posted about our trip here and here.

May 1 found us in Copenhagen for several days. We had perfect weather and wonderful time.

From Copenhagen we headed to Budapest for a few days.

In Budapest we boarded our river cruise the MS Sound of Music.

This was our itinerary for 14 days. If you are interested in the details of each stop you can find them in the blog archives.

Then in August we went with friends on an impulse trip to Paris and another river cruise. This was with Avalon River Cruises and we could only say great things about the cruise.

October found us in Amsterdam for several days.

We then boarded the MS Amadeus for a cruise from Amsterdam to Basel.

In between our travels we made some major life changes where we sold our house and downsized to a condo. We moved into our condo, got settled and then headed out on our ultimate road trip.
You can follow our driving trip to Sedona by following the links. After Sedona we settled in Las Vegas in mid-December for the winter!!
