And To Think I Saw It...This Week August 2 - August 8 2014

Last Week's Recap

CONDO FLOWER ARRANGEMENT

TORONTO LIFE

Tuesday we headed to the ROM, Royal Ontario Museum to see the Forbidden City exhibit. Unfortunately photography was forbidden (really, then why bother going LOL) .

So here is a photo from the real thing taken in May 2009 when we were there.

But we managed a few photos of the teaser outside the exhibit.

It was a stunning collection of artifacts from the Palace Museum depicting everyday life within the walls.

We then wandered around the ROM until we had to leave, making a mental note to ourselves to come back and do more of the exhibits.

Click here for some photos of the museum.

We headed to the Brogue Inn in Port Credit for dinner with friends. We talked about our upcoming trip to DC with them.

The rest of the week was spent doing the usual mundane activities, John golfed twice, I went on a decluttering and reorganizing mission.

I met a friend at the Corned Beef House for a long overdue catch up.
This image is from their old location that they had to vacate to make room for more does it ever stop condos. They moved this sign into their new premises a block away.

This photo is from 2010 as they started building where the restaurant once stood.

Another heritage building gone.

  1. Heritage buildings, of course, are in the way of developers, and god forbid those soulless vampires ever be refused from getting their way.
