Driving time = 6 hours ( gas, duty free stop, delay to cross bridge and a lunch stop) 463km
We left Toronto around 10AM and the temperature was 4C or 39F.
We crossed the border into New York at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie and used the Nexus lane with our new cards, a breeze!!
At one point the temperature dropped to 1C driving through the hills of Pennsylvania.
We had booked our hotel in Cranberry Township PA for the evening, just outside Pittsburgh at the Hampton Inn. We arrived around 4PM.
Dinner was next door at Primanti's, a local Pittsburgh tradition. Interesting, cheap, filling but wouldn't go back unless stuck.
I had the Sicilian Cheesesteak and DH had the corned and cheese which is served on fresh Italian bread with fresh cut fries, and cole slaw.
