Tuesday Treasures

Tom hosts Tuesday's Treasures.

April 2015 - Austin TX

More museum hopping around Texas this week. While in Austin we visited the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum. We watched the movie LBJ the other night and it reminded me that I had never posted about the museum.

  1. Quite an eclectic collection in his presidential library. My favourite must be his cowboy boots.

  2. I love museums like that. I'll never forget Johnson picking up his dog by its ears. Never thought of him the same after that. We had the privilege to visit Sixth Floor Museum at the Daley Plaza in Dallas this spring. Also fascinating.

  3. L.B.J. was a complex man. He was caught up in the Viet Nam mess, so sad. Thanks for sharing the important history of a good =man. Please come back soon Jackie.

  6. Interesting museum about an interesting man. As he said "Ya love me or ya hate me. You can't have it both ways".
