I'm linking up at Monday Mural hosted by Oakland Daily Photo.
April 2016 - Toronto ON
I've passed this mural many times and finally took photos this week as I went to meet a friend.
The Toronto Entertainment District BIA and the Toronto Financial District BIA installed a multi-coloured mural as a shared contribution to the aesthetic improvements to the retaining wall at the University triangle (University Avenue, Front Street and York Street). The mural spans over 470 square feet from the Front Street West base of the triangle.
This mural definitely shows the hustle and bustle of this area on commuter mornings. Union Station is across the street where the subway, GO commuter trains, and UP train to the airport all converge. The Royal York Hotel is next door and the Intercontinental is close by. The bus to the Island Airport also picks up near here. There are stops for the Hop On/Off tour buses as well. Taxis are very evident.
What a great mural! It must be delightful for commuters to travel past it daily. Love it!
ReplyDeleteQuite colourful and eye pleasing.
ReplyDeleteUse this for Hit the Road Jack Song-ography.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this one! I've been avoiding that area with all the construction going on!

ReplyDeleteMy fave is the VW bus. Seeing it takes me way back. Welcome back home. And thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
