First View of Guanajuato

February 2016 - Guanajuato Mexico

We set out yesterday around 3 PM and managed to do 4,400 steps which is great considering we stop to watch the Super Bowl around 5 PM.

Here is just a quick overview of our walk.
I also have to mention the tunnels that were part of our initiation to this gorgeous town as we approached by cab.

Once you step out of our hotel, click here to see it (with more to come) we are surrounded by history and a lovely square, Jardin de la Union. This is a pedestrian area, no cars.
I won't provide too much history on the sights this is just a taste.

The Theatre Juarez. We'll be doing the tour on Tuesday.

The basilica, had our jaws dropping.

Not a statue!

San Felipe Neri - need to come back as it wasn't open.

I wanted to walk our taxi route to find the statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Mucho more on both of these two.

Time for Super Bowl.
