Taking a road trip this round.
HOPE Arkansas
Hope began in 1873, when a railroad was built through the area. The town was named for Hope Loughborough, the daughter of a railroad executive.
Great new header.
ReplyDeleteThat is SOME hay!!!
Oh. At first I thought "YUM" - then I read "Hefeweizen" and went to "ewwww".
Our Hefeweizen (is ewww and) much lighter, rather yellow.
That's a lot of hay.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the term Hefeweizen...and looked up to find wheat beer...which I've enjoyed in various micro-breweries. But having left over yeast in the glass doesn't sound appealing.
ReplyDelete...WOW, HOPE HAS two exits!
ReplyDelete...the HORSESHOE Casino sign must look great when it is lit.
...that HEAVY load of HAY doesn't look like a legal load. I hope the truck didn't have far to go.
...HELL's HOLE?
Thanks Jackie for stopping by, take care and stay warm.
Interesting that the horseshoe is upside down. I was always told to have a horseshoe the other way up otherwise the luck will pour out. That of course is mostly true when one visits a casino. it is a lovely thought to call a town after your daughter and HOPE is a beautiful word and one these days of lockdown is one we dearly cling on to for things to improve. Stays safe and have a great week ahead Jackie.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten that about the horseshoe!!! I guess it does hold true for a casino.
DeleteI was going to mention that horseshoes are/were used at Irish weddings for good luck. I have a photo of me presenting one to my aunt at her wedding in Dublin years ago.
Very Nice collection for "H"!
