William Christopher Handy (November 16, 1873 – March 28, 1958) was a composer and musician, known as the Father of the Blues. An African American, Handy was one of the most influential songwriters in the United States. One of many musicians who played the distinctively American blues music, Handy did not create the blues genre and was not the first to publish music in the blues form, but he took the blues from a regional music style (Delta blues) with a limited audience to a new level of popularity.

Handy was an educated musician who used elements of folk music in his compositions. He was scrupulous in documenting the sources of his works, which frequently combined stylistic influences from various performers.

W.C. Handy used the cigar counter to write out copies of the Beale Street blues for the band members.

Club Handy and the surrounding Handy Park are named in honor of W.C. Handy (William Christopher Handy).

This mural is located at the entrance to the Shrine of Serene Light (Saeng Tham Shrine) in Old Phuket Town.

 The Sang Tham Shrine is a small, atmospheric Taoist temple hidden in an alleyway, founded in 1891 by descendants of a Chinese family.

The artwork was created by Liudmila Letnikova, whose signature is visible in the bottom right corner of the mural. It depicts traditional Chinese hand puppet performances, which are culturally used to entertain deities at the shrine.

 The mural depicts a traditional Chinese procession, a common feature in the historically rich Chinese shrines found in Phuket.

Artist Chairman Ting a Vancouver based, artist led studio which has a "unique and whimsical style". He painted a massive 27,000-square-foot mural installation inside the lower level pathways and closed sections of the former Hudson's Bay store connected to Toronto's underground PATH network. The vibrant artwork serves as a love letter to Toronto, featuring iconic local landmarks and cultural symbols.

This is what it looked like after the store closed and before the mural.

The owners of that space, Cadillac Fairview, has provided temporary space for art to enhance the space. The temporary exhibition space is to feature young, emerging artists and is named ArtLaunch. That means that the art will change through 2026, so check it out before it is gone, then check out the new art.

Stretching over 30 kilometres, Toronto's massive underground pedestrian network, known as the PATH, can feel like a city itself.

Holy Cow - I didn't think it was as big as it was until I went back on August 12.

Funny, with all the new signage, I came across two sets of tourists begging security officers to show them the way out.

I really is quite a maze. I was fascinated. Some areas are much more busy than others.

Upstairs, the bridge over Queen St. to the Eaton Centre is still open.

Back downstairs. I'm trying to leave, but I keep finding other alleys.

Even the store windows outside are painted.
