TV Dinner

March 2018 - Toronto ON

Another not very exciting week around here with both of us still coughing and vegging. Things are much better though we slooooowly get back to being normal.
So this will be a very short post again.

Saturday St.Patrick's Day and we had corned beef, cabbage and boiled potatoes.
I made this Lemon loaf loaf which was very lemony!

John found a series called Sneaky Pete's and I'm working my way through My Kitchen Rules Australia 2017.

In an effort to use up some the wool I have I started this baby blanket.

I was out on day and spotted this sign in an office building.

I have started keeping a list of recipes that would be easy to make when we're away. I tried mozzarella chicken parm and it was great, never missed the bread crumbs.

BOOKS

FINISHED

The Only Cafe Toronto set near our old house, we often walked by this cafe/bar.
A Scotiabank Giller prize winner, the writer is a journalist, so the writing is descriptive with short sentences. There was just too much politics and I couldn't keep track of who was doing what.  I tried another by Linden MacIntyre, The Bishop's Man and didn't like it either.

I really needed something light-hearted after that so I read (don't judge me!) I've Got Your Number. It's funny and silly and just plain fun!

STARTED
What Remains is a coming of age story set in Toronto in the 1970s and 80s.

  2. Love that coffee sign! I can totally relate. Sorry that you're still a little under the weather. I just read about Sneaky Pete, but we haven't had a chance to watch yet. And thanks for the new cooking show to add to my list.

  4. I do that with a lot of books too. Start, then chuck back in the bag. Lucky I get them at the library.

  5. That coffee sign is spot on! Love the stitching you are doing for the blanket, is that knitting ? I can only crochet at a very amateur level.
