Mosaic Monday

Mesa Verde, Spanish for green table, offers a spectacular look into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years, from A.D. 600 to A.D. 1300. The park contains over 4,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings.

This had to be one of the most spectacular sights we'd ever seen.

The people in the top photo give the perspective on how large this particular dwelling is.

  1. Now here's a place I've long been interested in. Did you feel the vibrations of past civilizations? I often thought I would if I visited here.

  2. Until I first went to the South West I never even knew about these civilizations.
