March 2013 - Cottonwood AZ
A delightful tiny mural spotted in Cottonwood.
UPDATE:
After I posted this After60 commented that this really looked like it was done by Banksy, a very famous street artist. I then found someone who had commented that this mural was inspired by Banksy.

That looks very much like a 'Banksy' mural. Do you know whether it is or not? It sis certainly like his style of stencilling and then disappearing before anyone sees him.
ReplyDeleteThe red heart balloon pops ... a sense of sadness pervades this mural.
ReplyDeleteGreat find!
ReplyDeleteI see it as a little girl making a wish and releasing a balloon.
Have a wonderful day!

There seem to be Banksy imitators all over the world these days. When it's such a nice piece, who cares if it is really his or not!
ReplyDeleteI think it's the stencil method and the grounding of the figure at sidewalk level that makes us think of Banksy. I'm with RedPat. It has it's own charm and artistic appeal regardless of who the artist is. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
